Summer Curriculum Institute

ACPS teachers and instructional leaders are invited to apply for the 2017 Summer Curriculum Institute, an interactive three-day workshop for professional learning and curriculum development.

Who: Talented, dedicated educators looking to learn, collaborate, create, and contribute to a rich curriculum that supports excellent teaching of our diverse learners

What: Join teachers from across the division to help build a dynamic, comprehensive, differentiated curriculum. Develop your skills in leading curriculum implementation and facilitating professional learning in your school.

When: June 27-29, 2017. 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Where: The Minnie Howard Campus of TC Williams High School

Why: Earn re-certification points, a $450 stipend, collaborate with your colleagues, contribute to a professional community, and enhance the ACPS curriculum

Selection criteria include:

  • Grade-level and/or content area experience, knowledge, and pedagogical expertise;
  • Instructional experience with diverse learners, including students with disabilities, English Learners, and students identified as Talented and Gifted;
  • Balanced representation from schools across ACPS.
