Have you ever heard of the ugliest animal in the world ? If you didn’t know it’s called the Blobfish. There are so many ugly animals in the world but the Blobfish was beating the rest by 795 votes in a ugly animal debate but let’s talk about the champion.
The Blobfish is the size of the ruler ( 12 inches). Some Scientists and hilarious Comedians make videos of them making fun of this ugly creature created by Mother Nature. Also the Blobfish was in the a ugly animal debate for the mascot of the Ugly Animal Preservation Society and Paul Foot announced that it was the winner by 795 votes by the public.It lives 2,000- 4,000 feet deep by Australia and Tasmania. It’s scientific name is Psychrolutes Marcidus. It’s body like jelly and it’s an invertebrate in the ocean world.
The Blobfish eats many things that can eat inside it’s mouth such as Sea urchins, Sea crabs, Shellfish,Mollusks,Lobsters,Crustaceans,and Sea pens it’s carnivorous so the species eat other small animals but Blobfish eats lazy so they’re basically like pigs when they eat. In East London, There’s gonna be a new cafe that you eat,drink,and meet the species.
We don’t always see Blobfish because live 2,700 feet deep in the Mesopelagic zone or Twilight zone. There’s is no animal predator for the Blobfish because it is inedible but their only predators are fishermen or humans because of over-sea fishing and Blobfish are getting into fishing nets.Blobfish also scarcely any muscle matter.Their gelatinous body is slightly dense less than water- allowing them to serenely float above the sea floor.Scientific research actually says that blobfish aren’t just miserable, just very disappointed. There are 11 species of Psychrolutes or as we know them – Blobfish poster boy, Mr. Blobby is believed to be a smooth-headed blobfish.
There are no animal predators for the Blobfish , because it’s inedible that means it can’t be eaten by any predator their only predator is fishermen or humans because of deep-sea fishing and getting caught into nets so it’s basically endangered and almost gone for extinction because over-sea fishing in the ocean.
