Thousands of miles apart a common plan to help the environment has emerged by youth who didn’t even know each other. As part of the Caring for our Watersheds program students in Saskatchewan, Canada and Virginia, USA decided it was time the community collect and store rain. A great way to save money, energy and collect water that would otherwise be lost to runoff – even better if the barrels are decorated by the students!
Caring for our Watersheds is helping the students implement their idea internationally! 300 free rain barrels will be given away to communities in North America, South America and Australia!
