Perfect Chemistry : Liya Nida

September28

In the novel I am reading by Simone Elkeles, Brittany Ellis seems like the type of girl that keep people at a distance, always shows up to school or parties with a fake smile so that she does not really show who she really is because she is afraid that if she lets her guards down she will get judged and people wont really understand her and also might feel what the true meaning of rejection really is. She even said it herself, “my best friend shakes her head, “” I know you Brit, You are stressing”” she whispers, Now that statement worries me more than the idea of Carmen looking for me. Because i try really hard to keep everyone at a distance”….The fact that she does that just proves my point that she just scared of getting hurt. I can connect to why she would rather be lonely, because I understand what it feels like to be betrayed and not  to be understood. It makes you feel like a more of a freak. I have been in a situation where i would prefer to just put a fake smile than deal with peoples judgement and i know how much it takes to keep up with that. Its like hiding your face behind a mask so no one can actually know what your in the inside , because your afraid to be rejected. But i can tell that her new chemistry partner is going to change that behavior of her, I can predict that from the cover picture, I see him holding her , and her smiling, also in the book she was talking about how she tells him thing that she cant tell no one. How he makes her feel comfortable and feel like he got her back. From that i can tell she will get closer to him than she will ever be than with any other person.
