When March Went Mad: The Game that Transformed Basketball. #1

September28

I am evaluating Magic Johnson based on the fact that he is a very likeable person and he attracts crowds wherever he goes. The book says “He liked the spotlight and he  liked the ladies. To me, he just always seemed older than he was”. This makes me think about him as a person before thinking about him as a basketball player. As a player he was a tall, 6-8′ point-guard with a lanky frame. He was very smooth and sly with the way he played. But as a person, I think about him speaking to all types of people whether they be white or black. He was a friendly kid with a great big smile that lit up a room full of people. When he went to parties he would take over as “E.J. the DJ” and it just shows what kind of friendly, welcoming type of person he was.
