Hello this is Chillingworth. Time has passed so fast seven years now and today is Election Day. There is many people in town, people from everywhere, everyone is happy, everyone is talking about the new governor, but my mind can’t think of anything else than making Dimmesdale life impossible. I know that Hester is planning on scape with Pearl and Dimmesdale, so guess what? I am going as well. There is no place where Dimmesdale will hid from me, I will be always there making him feel his sin burning his soul. Today Dimmesdale was giving the most powerful sermon ever, I guess he wanted to leave a good impression and he sure accomplished that. Now there he is in front of everyone standing where he didn’t 7 years ago, there he is skipping from me and blowing out the true. There was a feeling of joy when I saw the man who had wrong me filling his reputation with shame. But yet seven years doesn’t feel like enough when I think of how much the disloyalty destroyed me and turned me into a demon. Dimmesdale has died, he is free of me but his soul will burn in the pit of hell. Now I can die in peace. “He died within the year. Without his hate and his mission to destroy Dimmesdale, he had nothing to live for.” (125)
