In this blog post I will be sharing my evaluation about the main character of the book I am currently reading. The name of my book for the second quarter is Beige by Cecil Castellucci. In the first chapter there is a girl whose name is Katie and she is at the Airport waiting for her dad and apparently she doesn’t like him. Katie is very pessimist, she seems to have a lot to say but she doesn’t have the courage to say it. Katie is very cold, she sounds like she is always in a bad mood like she indicates when she was at the airport “… it is cloudy and pouring rain… the weather matches my mood…” (Castellucci1). That is how Katie describes herself in the first page of the book, when we look at the quote Katie is comparing her mood to the ugly weather so we can conclude that she is having a bad day or probably she is always in a black mood. Whether she is always in a bad mood or it is just temporary, anyway Katie sounds very pessimistic in the first chapter.
