This book is called Darkest Hour by V.C. Andrews and is about a rich family that lives in a farm called The Meadows. It seems that this book is going to be about  the life of a girl named Lillian, the main character, this girl has two sisters Emily and Eugenia. By reading a few pages of part one of this book, it seems that Lillian is a naïve girl who believes in princes, fairy tales, and promises but her older sister, Emily doesn’t believe in all those things. Lillian is a happy girl who likes to spend time with her mother and younger sister, Eugenia, but Emily, the oldest sister appears to be a boring girl as we see in the book, “Our older sister, Emily, never liked to be read to and chose instead to spend most of her time by herself.”(pg. 5). Apparently, Emily doesn’t behave as other girls her age, but Lillian and Eugenia don’t pay attention to that, they just have fun and enjoy time but their mother worried about Emily’s behavior she even said, Mother used to say that she believed Emily was already twenty years old the day she was born”(pg. 9). It seems that this book is going to be about how the sisters lived and interacted daily.
