Connetion : The Help: Liya Nida

February19

In the novel The Help by Kathryn Stockett Aibleen Clark is colored women that works as the maid for the Mrs Loffet , a white women. She has a friend called Minny that was there for her in times of her need. When her son died she thought that she did not have the means to continue on living. Everything was so black and white for her. If it was not for Minny she would not have survived. Alibleen “i was ready to electrify my self, if not for Minny barging to the room” (Stockett), I understand what Aibleen is feeling, I went to that horrific experience my self when i was 11, My grandfather died, and he basically rasied me when i was a child, and when he died i felt like part of me died with him, everything in life just didnt make sense, did not see the point of going on in life. I use to ask my self why out of all the people why my grandfather, and if it was not for my brother telling me, ” you can ask your self that all the time, but the answer wont exist” and that use to make me so mad, because out of all the things this will not have an answer the most important thing, and that use to make me feel so angry, i became really aggressive. If i did not have my brother i would think that i would be in a ditch somewhere buried.  So in away me and Alibleen are similar, we both lost people that gives it a meaning to move on life, but we both had one person in out back when we are ready to fall to catch us.
