In this chapter, The book flashes back. Nujood is to be married soon.Her father made up his mind once he has spoken to a man who is looking for a wife.I think this is gross because Nujood is only 10 years old. She’s nothing but a child. While reading i can tell Nujood knows nothing about a marriage. She later realizes things wont be the same. She said”My life was taking a new turn in this world of grown-ups, where dreams no longer had a place, faces became masks, and no one seemed to care about me.”(Nujood,68)I think the main purpose of this chapter was to show the reader how one event in your childhood could force you to grow up to fast and change your perspective on life.
