The main idea in the pages that i’ve read is that Nancy is trying to deal with herself having AIDS. She feels like she’s ruining everyone’s life and that everyone around her is in danger. “she told me how to handle my bed linen and stuff, being much more careful than before.” She feels bad because the maid at her dad’s house in Arizona left after she found out that Nancy had AIDS. Nancy gets sick all the time and she feels like an obstacle for her family because they always have to take care of her and take her to the hospital. Everyday, she tries to lift her spirits up by doing positive things and trying to live a happy life.
