Jackie’s girls.

May11

In this post I will make a connection about the last chapter I have read of the book Promised the Moon by Stephanie Nolen. In this chapter Nolen talks about Jackie Cochran and her first experience in aviation. After Jackie landed her first solo flight, she thought “I can’t believe that I have put this off-a reason for living-for so long” (Nolen 37). The connection I can make is when my teacher told me how she used to not like art in school. Her teacher obligated to try sculpture, and she loved it. Like Jackie my teacher did not know she would feel such passion for something she though she hate. Only after having an experience both knew there were going to live to do what they thought they could not stand.
