This post is going to be about making questions of what I have read of Promised the Moon. The chapter is about Jackie, a talented female pilot, and all of her accomplishments. Nolen says that “… [Jackie] thought United States should be organizing its female pilots… for a women transport division” (Nolen 41) during World War II. Was she able to create this division? I wonder if she was in World War II. I also would like to know how men would react if women were considered to be in the battlefront. How Jackie would react if the government reject this idea?
