The main idea of this book is to inform the readers that there is nothing you can’t accomplish even though you have a lot of obstacles to pass through. In this boo, Rameck’s childhood wasn’t fun and he was having a hard time being in school. Both of his parents were addicted to drugs. “God, please, just get one of my parents off drugs,” (Davis 51) However nothing stopped him to be successful. This book also showed that friends do influence your life. If you hang out with smart people you’re going to be smart. On the other hand, if you hang around with fool people you’re going to be a fool.
