Blog Post #2 Visualization

October2

“Lies My Teacher Told Me” has many visualizations, when you read the title you image your teacher just standing in front of the class yelling random words that he/she knows and makes it sound true.  In the first chapter of my book, it talks about history books. All history books are different, every book is missing at least one important historical event. Students never realize this because the way the teacher explains and also puts some of their knowledge in the topic sounds correct and all students go with it. ” A teacher sounds correct always, but sometimes lies.” When I saw this quote, I always think of my history teacher just standing  in front of the classroom just talking to a room of sleepy kids. He reads from the book or plays a history movie during every class so far this year.  I’m not also sure this book is telling the truth, last year my history teacher was energetic and knew almost every historical event. I’m not sure who’s actually telling the truth, but the book is making me believe that teachers are just big liars.
