“The Scarlett Letter” has many connections that can be made with characters. Me and Pearl are most alike because our parent has done something bad and has effected our life with their action. At a family reunion my father had a little too much to drink and started to wrestle my cousin at three in the morning. They were loud and waking everyone else up, my dad finally stopped and said ” the old man still has it.” The next morning everyone was yelling at my dad and saying he was loud and was acting like a kid, everyone treats him like a baby now. Every holiday we get a card in the mail that always has something to do with childish stuff. I love my dad but sometimes I get embarrassed because I’m the cousin with that dad that tries to wrestle his family during a family event. Mine and Pearls parent have impacted our lives in a big way and can never get passed the event, it will always be brought up in a conversation.
