How I feel like, plotting my next devious move towards Dimmesdale.

Day 10: I visited the governor’s house today and was greeted by Hester’s child, Pearl. I bickered with her and recall Wilson calling Pearl a demon-child. Wilson said, “Art thou a Christian child,—ha? Dost know thy catechism? Or art thou one of those naughty elfs or fairies, whom we thought to have left behind us, with other relics of Papistry, in merry old England?”(Hawthorne 88). They questioned whether or not Hester should keep Pearl or not, but in the end she did because of Dimmesdale.  After the questions, I begged the men there to re open the investigation for the search for Pearl’s true father, but to no avail.

Day 11: I have successfully managed to convince people that I am merely a doctor that escaped the grasp of those Native American savages. People are buying my “natural” remedy act. I have managed to find a website of “natural” remedies: http://www.wholeliving.com/145366/natural-remedies . No one knows of my true identity, only Hester, but I have been able to keep her quiet, so all is well at the time. A quote from “The Scarlet Letter”, “Unknown to all but Hester Prynne, and possessing the lock and key of her silence, he chose to withdraw his name from the roll of mankind, and, as regarded his former ties and interest, to vanish out of life as completely as if he indeed lay at the bottom of the ocean, whither rumor had long ago consigned him.”(Hawthorne 94). I have found a way to investigate this Dimmesdale fellow further by conjuring up a lie that a doctor would live with him, me.

Day 13: I have just found out the most interesting thing today about Dimmesdale. I will now presume to take control of this situation and manipulate him; tease him and make him suffer. Dimmesdale dismisses the fact that I cannot be trusted because he cannot rationalize it to anything, HA! What a fool he is!
