I can see Evelyn (the main character) sitting with her best friend Susan eating in a pub. On the table I can see hot pastrami, oysters, French fries, sliced tomatoes, and cole slaw. Other two girls, who are not friendly at all, came into the pub and joined Evelyn and Susan without invitation. I can easily imagine how the two girls, Adele and Julia, look like. “Adele was short and squatty with round pop eyes.” I see that even though Julia was a couple of years younger, she was very tall. Additionally, She had pimples that day. “She looked a little like a pig , with squinting little eyes, only I never saw a pimply pig.”
