Abdullah and his Father are in the house of a rich friend of Abdullah’s uncle. The father and the uncle are having a conversation, which the father hopes will help him find a job. I predict that the father’s hope won’t happen. In fact the rich man says “… Some say [Kabul] is progressive,… but it’s also out of touch withe the rest of this country” (Hosseini 40). Abdullah’s family, in fact, live in a little village  at two days on foot from Kabul. I predict that the Father will have no chance to deal with the rich man because, as he said, Kabul is out of touch with a little village like that.
