#10 visualization “And the Mountains Echoed”

December13

Abdullah’s sister Pari has just been sold to another family. Abdullah’s family couldn’t afford to maintain both of them in addition the the new step- brother. Now Abdullah is alone and wanders in the places were his sister and him used to play. I can see him crying and thinking about Pari. I can see him sitting on the ground and opening a tea box where Pari used to keep some feathers. All the feathers were there, shed from roosters, ducks, pigeons. There was also the peacock feather that Abdullah bought for her selling his only pair of sandals. Abdullah look at the feathers and “… tossed the yellow feather [he had just found] into the box…” (Hosseini 49).

Wow that sounds really sad. In some country it’s hard to get education and job because of there economy and this is the main problems of running a family and hard to full fill there kids needs. and this reminds of the bonding my older brother and I have. we are very close with each other and understand each other very we’ll.

The explanation is very good, I mean the story is good but you might want to work on your punctuation and despite that good job!

    Hi Claudia,
You did your visualization writing very well, Just by reading this I knew much about the book. I can predict the book is about a family that is in low class condition. Also the way you embed your quote with your own word seems to be great. You have one error of doubling one word (“…both of them in addition the the new…) So in the future you can correct that by summerizing after you write your paragrah. Keep Up!, Thanks.
