REFLECTION: For this part, you choose how/where in your collage to answer the questions. You could answer all of them together in one place, or individually for each picture. Your choice! Just make sure to write in complete, grammatically correct sentences. No sentence minimum!
1. What do the data/results show? About your life? About literacy/reading?
Reading is very important in my daily life. Without reading I would miss out on great deals in the grocery store. I could also misuse my medicine and not know how to wash my clothes and heat my pancakes. I would be unable to do my homework or drive properly. This all shows how important reading is in my daily life and allows me to succeed in my daily life.
2. How could you have accomplished the same activities without the text?
To accomplish the activates without the text it would have been very difficult. For example, I would not have been able to read the book to do my homework without the text. I would not have been able to get the deal at the grocery store or stop at the stop sign. To conclude, it would have been nearly impossible to complete my activities without text.
3. To what extent is reading power?
Reading is power because being literate allows a man to have more opportunities. This is shown in my life because I was able to get a good deal on food, do my homework and be successful at it, and also pass my driving test. Being able to do these things have given me more opportunities than I before. Reading is power because without reading some would be unable to be successful at their work, miss out on deals at the grocery store, and even drive. Without reading there are not many things that a man can do.
