In Catching Fire, Katniss and Haymich discuss a deal where Peeta is to be the lone survivor of the 75th Hunger Games. If Katniss and Peeta were to be drawn into the games again, Katniss asked Haymitch that “this time [they] try to keep [Peeta] alive” so Peeta can live on and live under Haymitch’s orders (Collins 83). People today sacrifice their time and lives to help others all around the world. One example could be the people who rescue children from being trafficked and sold into prostitution in India. There are others who sacrifice their time and money to help under developed countries. People like Bill Gates try to develop new technologies that could help people that live in poverty. One example of this type of technological advancement would be the “LifeStraw” Personal Water Filter, that filtrates water from many water sources to ready to drink water.
