In the Freak Observer Lao the main character is going through hard times. However, he mentioned that “The wind shifts direction.” (Woolston 20) and it is hitting Lao’s face and “It smells like it might snow.” (Woolston 20). When Lao the main character mentioned how it smelt like it was going to snow it reminded me of the smell after there has been rain. It also reminds me of elementary school when I played in the snow and had snowball fights. It would always excite me when my parents mentioned there was going to be a lot of snow so I would be missing school. Then I would watch my favorite cartoon shows and might even go outside to play in the snow.
