When Lao was in her physics class she “flipped one [newspaper] open” (Woolston 49) her teacher kept from the past. It told the story of the astronauts that died in a training fire.She saw that “the Bony Guy was standing by a smoking rocket.” (Woolston 49). When Loa mentions the bony guy she is basically referring to death. He has taken lives of people close to her. She is haunted by this bony guy and I visualize the death always watching over everyone and  following everyone. When Loa saw the picture of the bony guy in the space suit it was basically the haunting memory of what is soon to come and the narrator might even be foreshadowing another sorrowful event happening to Loa
