This blog is going to be about making connections. I will make a connection from the last chapter I have read of my book Beige by Cecil Castellucci. Katie is with her dad the Rat at a restaurant and she thinks she likes “… that going out for breakfast gets you out into the world…” (Castellucci 88). Exactly what I think when I’m frustrated doing something or with someone. I know exactly how Katie felt at her dad’s house because I went through the same. When I was living with my dad I just wanted to get out like Katie wants to. To be out of the house for a day or an hour felt so good and I liked it. Sometimes I wanted to get away from my dad’s world and going out was the way, like Katie says. This connection with Katie makes me understand better how she feels and why she acts the way she does.
