In this post I will make a connection from the last chapter I have read of Slow Waltz in Cedar Bend by Robert James Waller. In the last chapter I read Michael was invited to the Braden’s thanks giving dinner there was a lot of people and Michael has never been good at being social but he went because he wanted to see Jellie. Michael arrived to the Braden’s house, everyone was looking at him standing at the doorway “He took a deep breath and wished he could light up, but there wasn’t a chance in hell of that” (Waller 41). I understand how Michael felt. Like him I have a hard time talking to people. I go through this situation every year the first day of class it feels awkward. This always happens to me when I don’t know the majority of the people in a place, and probably many people can relate to this.
