Blog Post #12 Connection

January13

In “Outcasts United” I can connect with mostly the whole book.  In Chapter 6, John says ” Hey Jerry! why don’t you man up and push the kid a little bit and stop being so weak!” -pg6 For TC soccer there are many new kids that start playing and old teammates that I love to yell at sometimes because I’m the captain. I like to yell at my friend Sebastian and tell him “Wow dude, you should play for the girls team because you’re being a little princess today.” I understand its mean, but it does motivate him to play better and make him stronger. After the games he comes up to me and always laughs because yelling at him makes him a better player. On the field when I fall, my coach always like to yell at me and say ” Emir, I didn’t know this was ice skating.” I do get frustrated but it motivates me to get stronger and beat the other team. Yelling is sometimes good only on the field because it helps with fear and being a little baby.
