TWO FULL DAYS OF LEARNING: This two-day high-intensity event focuses on deploying, integrating, and using Google Apps for Education (and other Google tools) to promote student learning in K-12 and higher education. It is taking place November 5 & 6 at George Mason High School in Falls Church, VA.

School-Wide Technology Professional Development
All Middle School Technology Integration Specialists (T.I.S.) offer school-based technology professional development. Topics include Google Classroom, Flipped Learning, Summative and Formative Assessment Tools and Digital Citizenship. At George Washington Middle School, Technology Professional Development is offered the second Tuesday of every month.
Division-Wide Technology Professional Development
The Technology Services Department offers several Professional Development opportunities throughout the school year. In addition to more informal, embedded professional development sessions, Technology Services also offers formal professional development such as Technology Integration in Education (TIE), International Society for Technology Education Standards for Teachers (ISTE-T), Teacher Leadership Project (TLP), Teacher Leadership Project-Collaborate (TLP-C), and online self-paced professional development sessions through our partnership with the North Tier Consortium of Schools. Blended Learning Camp 2016
In addition, in order to support the distribution of chromebooks in grades 4-12, ACPS Technology Services hosted a Blended Learning Camp on August 9th and 10th, 2016. In addition to keynote speakers Stacy Hawthorne and Brad Lands, teachers were able to choose from sessions hosted by ACPS teachers and outside presenters including Common Sense Media, Nearpod, Code.org, Dimension U, Edgenuity and Hapara. Over 150 teachers attended to learn more about how to deliberately connect face to face learning with educational technology to enhance and personalize a deep and meaningful curriculum.
