Special thanks to Sandi Slavin for a fantastic presentation about the many uses of Discovery Education. Sandi did a wonderful job walking us through how to easily search for activities and videos in Discovery Education, but also opened our eyes to many more resources that are available. Watch the recording to learn more about creating your own classes, using the Board Builder tool and going on Virtual Field Trips. Sandi was filled with ideas about how to use Discovery to differentiate in the classroom, have engaging station learning and broaden the learning experiences of all students.

  1. Thank you for your very interesting presentation. I particularly like the Virtual Fields Trips section. I will develop a project to support our spring study of biomes. I will also go to the professional development session on March 10. What a great resource!

  2. I like using Discovery Education. I use it in both my science and history lessons. For the students who need to have visual presentations to put everything together, it works great. The students can see various videos on the topics that we are studying.

  3. Discovery Education can almost be a class all by itself. There are so many pictures, videos and little lesson enhancements that kids could stay engaged for hours (of course we won’t let them), but the activities and the virtual views are mesmerizing and add so much depth to already taught lessons.
