Previous business experience includes five years as a marketing director for a retail franchise organization, five years in human resources at recruiting firm serving San Francisco and Silicon Valley and stints as a business owner and fine arts auctioneer.

What types of work will the intern perform?
We seek a mature intern with a demonstrated commitment toward education and/or youth development. On any given afternoon, successful candidate will assist with reading to children, demonstrating and teaching the use of board games, developing relationships with children, assisting with transitions and with playground supervision and active games. More duties may be assigned as needed.
What might a highly motivated intern experience while working for your organization?
Interns will learn how to successfully function in an after-school program environment, how to steer and manage groups of children, how to inspire and teach youth and how to actively engage students in activities that challenge kids to grow, develop self-confidence and learn how to empathize and get along with others.
