Welcome Students and Parents!

My name is Brianna Becker and I am a fourth grade teacher at Matthew Maury Elementary School in Alexandria, VA. This is my second year at Maury and I hope it will be a great one! I look forward to getting to know many of you.

I was born in Arlington, VA but spent most of my childhood growing up in Annapolis, MD. I received my B.A. in Government and Politics and my M.Ed. in Elementary Education from the University of Maryland, College Park and am a huge Terps fan! I have three brothers and two sisters and love spending time with family and friends when I am not teaching.

My favorite subject in school was social studies, so I am ecstatic to be teaching Virginia Studies in addition to science and writing this year! I am most looking forward to returning to Jamestown and the Decatur House with this year’s fourth graders.
