St. Clement Episcopal School is a small school providing a well rounded, developmentally appropriate preschool experience. Many of children stay for after-care, during which they will play outside, read books, and do art projects. This would be an ideal internship for a student who is interested in teaching or Early Childhood Education.

What types of work will the intern perform?

Interns would help St. Clement teachers supervise the children on the playground, play games with them, read stories, and interact with the children.

What might a highly motivated intern experience while working for your organization?

An intern would have the opportunity to observe very experienced teachers help young children explore the world through all their senses. They would have the opportunity to observe the developmental differences between age groups (ages 3 to 6 in January). We would love to have an intern develop a lesson plan that would teach the children about the home country of the intern (stories, songs, snacks, maps, etc).
