Lastly, I sponsor an extracurricular activity called Global Citizens in Action in which girls in Alexandria, Virginia and Kabul, Afghanistan communicate via video conferences and a social networking site.

What types of work will the intern perform?
- Observing/shadowing teachers
- Facilitating whole class and small group lessons (if interested)
- Organizing events (i.e. National History Day)
- Attending meetings
- Photocopying and scanning papers
- Running errands around the building, etc.
