Quote of the day. “The Luxe”

September24

“Mother shall not know.” Elizabeth said that she didn’t want her mother knowing of what she does. This reminds me of how I feel sometimes with my mother. Elizabeth didn’t allow her mom to actually know everything she did or what she would really feel. This caused Elizabeth’s mom to think that she knew what her daughter would do. Her mom also thought that her daughter lived by all her rules if her mother really knew she would be distoryed.

Great first blog post, Fatima! Let’s work on taking the contractions out of classroom writing. Instead of writing “didn’t” write out “did not”. There are some awesome ideas here!

How did Elizabeth hide her true self from her mother? What kinds of things was she doing?

Elizabeth did not want her mother knowing that she did not care about the wealth or the appearance of a respectful young lady. Elizabeth was hiding the fact that she was having a romance with her employee. She was in love with her busboy.
