Title: Pearl is a good kid!

I cannot believe this is happening to me. Why would they take my darling pearl away from her mother? Have I not suffered enough from all of this shame and ridicule? Would you dare separate a mother from her only child because of what has transpired? A daughter needs her mother. Pearl should stay because I am the only family she has ever known. I must find help. Who can come to my aid and solve this mess? This society, Puritan it may be, but they are not acting very godlike and charitable.

I know what I need to do. I must go to the governor’s house and show him, and everyone else, that Pearl should stay with me. My daughter Pearl is a blessing and a torment at the same time. I must remind the governor that I am the best person to teach her morality, because of what I have learned from the scarlet letter. When Pearl was asked questions she did not respond. When she finally talked, she answered Reverend Wilson’s question, “Who made thee?” with the response that she was not made but had been plucked by her mother off the bush that grew by the prison door.  HAHA GO PEARL! I tell that man that Pearl is both my happiness and my torture and that I cannot lose her. To my surprise, that ugly man that I once had affection for stood up and spoke on my behalf. Well done sir. Thanks to him, Pearl now is cleared to live with me under the condition that she is taught directly by one of the ministers and that she will be supervised at school and at church meetings.

I am relieved, and had it not have been the case I would have fun off to join the other witches in the forest!

In my book healthy life in chapter 1 , which talks about the meaning of health. The meaning of being healthy varies ,so some people might say that being healthy means that you exercise and eating right ,and others say that being healthy means you do not have any kind of illnesses. According to the book ,people can have their own definition of being healthy as long as they can reach that point of being healthy “a healthy outside starts inside” Robert Urich.

I predict if people cared enough to think about what being healthy really means to them , the world that we live in will change and show huge improvement in our lives because people knows that being healthy is important ,but unfortunately very few takes the time to  think about and achieve it

In my book Healthy life ,chapter three talks about an important subject which is why health is important. Simply health is important because without it health you will lose your life. being healthy is beyond important means you can live a life without suffering from any aches, pain, or discomfort. Health will lead to a happier and longer life ,and will keep looking younger even when your old .”A wise man should consider that health is the greatest of human blessings, and learn how by his own thought to derive benefit from his illnesses” Robert Urich. I connect this to myself because I care about being healthy more than anything ,so active and try my best to maintain my health.

In my medical health class we started reading a new book called the Healthy Life , and the book shows specifically how can a person live healthy by developing healthy habits and overcome the unhealthy habits such as smocking , fast food ,and others habits that will decrease your health and put you in danger that might be dangerous enough to damage your health. This book is really great because it talks specifically about how to be health in from every aspect like how to eat , how to exercise ,and all the knowledge a person need to live a healthy “Health is worth everything”. I recommend this to everyone because this book contain a lot of knowledge that I know for sure that people that most people have no clue about. I connect this book to myself because I care about health and I would like to know everything there is about health.

The Washington Nationals have yet to get off to a hot start this season.  The Nationals are 28-29, below .500.  A record that is far from what they where at last year during this time.  Furthermore, the Nationals have faced many injuries this season, for example star player Bryce Haprer, and starting pitcher Ross Detwiler.  Even thought the Nationals are in second place in the NL East, they still have a lot of catching up to do.  If the Nationals really want to win the championship this year, they better put aside all the setbacks and make “their self-imposed pressure to live up to lofty expectations,”  (Davey Johnson).

This week, I read an article about a mother that “accidently” dropped her baby in a squat toilet in Beijing, China. Worst of all, the mother “did not initially come forward to claim the baby”(Tang). Apparently, she delivered the baby in the restroom and was too scared to come forward. I believe that no matter the circumstances, she should own up for her actions even if she did something as idiotic as that. She should not even think twice whether she should retrieve her baby or not, especially after all he/she has been through. That is her baby, in other words, an extension of her. What did she hope for, to leave the baby stranded and hope it gets into a good foster home and avoid any embarrassment? What was going through her mind? Didn’t she wanna see if her baby was okay after firemen had to rescue it from the sewers?

It is the first day of school and Jayd has already been confronted by 2 people wanting to jump her before the first bell. Before the confrontations Jayd explained how her ex friend Misty has been spreading lies about her and was the main reason her and her boyfriend broke up. I predict that misty has something to do with the confrontations because Jayd said “Misty is always in some mess and stirring up trouble,” also Misty just happened to be front and center in both of the confrontations. Misty also just happened to ride to school with one of the girls who confronted Jayd nand is known to be a big gossip.

Apple and Coca are twins who have always had a rivalry, but at the same time  had each others back when it came to other people. When their baby sister gets kidnapped, raped, then killed their rivalry becomes deadly and they each have a burning hate for one another. Even though the twins do not have any evidence they know that the neighborhood loan shark, Supreme, is responsible. He repeatedly threatened them after Apple was not able to repay a loan she got from him. Coca blames Apple for their little sister’s death because it was her stupidity that caused it. Soon Apple gets involved with Supreme while she plots to kill him. She wants to get close to him, then attack. But Coca and the rest of her friends and family do not know about her plans and see her as “sleeping with the enemy” She ends up convincing his right hand man to kill him in his sleep. After his right hand man, Tony, starts feeling guilty and Apple cuts him off because he is annoying her. She gets involved with this guy named Carlos and he seems like her perfect match. But Tony starts threatening to tell the police about what she did if she did not come back with him. She was a nervous wreck when she got off the phone and Carlos asked was she ok but she said nothing was wrong.

Questions:

Why would Apple not tell Coca what she was planning, Coca wanted revenge just as much as Apple did and she had more weapons and men to back her up and help her out. Nothing good came of keeping it a secret. Apple’s relationship got worse with her sister and her friends and neighbors felt as if she was heartless.

Why did Apple not tell Carlos what was going on. He is a powerful drug kingpin and the threat Tony made would not have mattered because Carlos would have took care of him. Apple planned to set him up herself, it went wrong and now Tony is bent on killing her.

Based on this week’s reading I predicted that ‘s burned house is going to be taken from her. She worked very hard to keep this land and re build her house that was distroyed by the fire. On the other hand they want the land because “they want to build a pen there, to keep the tykes and the fowls enclosed” (Lowry 19). This means that they are going to kick her out of their and she would not have any where to go. Overall, this is what I predicted from this week’s reading.

Based on this week’s reading I predicted that Kira is going to need some one that can look after her like a parent. She is only a child, and she does not know what to do. She needs food, and shelter, but she does not have all that because she does not have any money. Also, she does not have shelter because her house has been destroyed by the fire. in the book it says that “her water container was empty and she had no more food” (Lowry 18). This means that she needs water and food, but she has no idea how to get any of those. Overall, this is what I predicted from this week’s reading.
