change up

October8

Im reading the change up and my connection to my book is going to T.C  for the first time. To me at the time in my life i felt that it was some thing thing big because i was starting high school, it it was showing that ive grown up.  This was also something major to me because i was going to a school that was know everywhere and had a big reption. some might say it just another place but its a new atmosphere and i dont know any one. this felt like i was on my own untill i seen the few people i did know. But anyway what happen to to relates to my book because this kid repoter stevie in going to Fenway park for the world series and he he nervous, and unsure of whats going to happen to him or how to fit in. To back this up I have a quote ” Stevie found it hard to believe that this was the the legendary place he had heard and read so much about. This is it!”

Finding connections with something you are reading is one of the reading strategies that keeps me reading more books and stories. I have not read this book but I love baseball and I moved around a lot when I was in school because my father was in the military. So our family moved to some place new every 3 years. I think part of being excited about something new, like you going to TC and the main character going to Fenway, always has an element of fear to it. It’s part of the excitement of something new and unknown.
