Rachael M.- Played

October25

I am reading the book Played. A boy and his boys go to a party. They start making bets, they bet one of the boys that he couldn’t get into this girl pants. For the boy he wanted to prove himself to them so he could join their group/sorority, so he agrees to the bet. The girl they bet on to them was plain and unattractive with ok hair and ok skin and was skinny. To the boy he wishes the girl was at least attractive. He asks for her number, she’s not too sure because she feels “he’s popular why would he go for me”, and her friends think the same thing. She ends up giving him her number, and he calls her that night, they talk for a little bit and get off the phone. They plan a date to a restaurant. I predict that during this bet he might come to find out how much beautiful she really is on the inside then out. He might end up liking her more then he thought he would. I can connect because this is no surprise that boys end up doing something immature like that. I have been in a relationship where at first I wasn’t really attracted to my boyfriend, I gave him a chance. Over time I was more than attracted to him, I adored him both physically and emotionally. To my surprise he was one of the realest relationships I have been in.
