I am so nervouse about the truth. The truth is something that neeeds to be told. Some people hate it, some people don’t. Somethings you cant hide forever. As you know I’m currently living with Rev. Dimmesdale. Yes he’s a good friend of mine but lets be honest here, he went behind my back.

Many people in the town believe I’m doing something to make him get better. Honestly I am but thats not the only thing I’m here for. I want the truth from Dimmesdale and believe me I tried to get it. See what had happened was, I had a feeling he was the father of Pearl. As we started to talk, I said to Dimmesdale , “Dimmesdale, old friend, in your experience as a minister, have you been able to figure out why some me refuse to confess their secret sins? After all people knows that keeping dark secret is dangerous to the body and soul” Dimmesdale replied, “most men do confess thier sins and find peace of body and mind. But some men arnt able to confess”. After Rev said that I was pretty convenced that he had a dark nasty sin. I was close to breaking him but as time passed by I was getting nowhere. When I asked him more questions he had a look on his face. He was upset and angry at me. We were dont talking for some time and he had fell asleep. So I took the oppertunity to check out his chest. So I went up to him, pulled open his shirt and I seen the red A. Now I was pretty sure and positive he was Pearl’s dad. Hester has betrayed me. What a wife.
