The Outsiders

November4

I feel that Ponyboys’ friend Johnny will not survive after being burned. The book said that he was hit be a board and was badly burned. They also say that he was paralyzed from the waist down and was growing worse by the day. The upcoming gang war is also going to be won by the greasers because they are deeper than the socials. I also see Dally acting up once he finds out that Johnny is going to die, I presume. Dally is one of those wild ones.

cj57516 – sure sounds like you have a lot of experience with predicting people’s behavior. You must be good at reading clues that are often found “in between the lines” in stories. But I imagine you must also be good at reading real life people because some of your judgements do not seem to come only from the reading. You know that Dally is a “wild one” and that is from the story – but you must know about wild people in general from your life. It always good when you can use stories to help you figure out real life and use real life to help you understand a story more deeply. Well done!
