The Child Called It
This book is very touching and sad. I don’t understand why a mother would treat her son like that? He is a good child and he does nothing wrong at home. His safety at home is limited,he sometimes get to eat and he is put threw a lot at home.I predict that he will run away soon and get some help.He needs to get out the house and find somewhere else to go. I predict that he will keep getting damaged and neglected from his mom.
That does sound like a sad book. Why do you think authors write about sad things like this? What does it make you think about in your own life or community? Do you think it is easy to find somewhere else to go? Who would take him in and why would they? There is a lot of responsibility to take on the care of another person. It costs a lot of money and takes up time and energy to be with the new person. If you were an adult, would you take in a troubled child? Under what conditions?
