In the book they are having a huge storm where there all power is out and storms are heavy, her mom went overboard and made a plan that consists of “I had a lot of cash on me, so I filled a wagon and then I went back and got Miss. Nesbitt and then Jonny and you so we could each get wagons to fill.” Whenever we have a huge storm my mom also feels the need to go to the store and buy everything to last us for a lifetime. They got so much from the store because they “were stocking up for the end of the world.” Sometimes when we do have huge thunderstorms and huge winds sometimes i feel like the world is going to end too. The feeling that the world is going to end is always scary and I can feel how she has got to be panicking and frightened she is right now. With the huge storm and some of the world sunk under water due to the high tides I would be freaking out just like she is right know.
