I have two ruts. One is that i curse way too much for my own good and I express my feelings more than necessary. It makes my life less simple because i get into trouble when i curse and because when i express my feelings i am always asked to explain why i feel a certain way and i never know how to explain it. The difficulty about trying to break my habit of cursing will be when people do ignorant things for starters, and to stop expressing my feelings will be hard because I am so used to expressing myself on a daily basis. I hope to learn to control all my emotions and to not curse as mush as I am used to cursing.
This is an interesting problem. It seems like you just need to have a new set of “acceptable” words to use instead of curses. You should watch some animated shows like The Simpsons and listen for how the characters express themselves when someone does something ignorant.
To figure out how to explain your feelings, you could use a thesaurus and look up words that you could use. Like, if you looked up “angry” you would see other words like “enraged” and “infuriated” and “furious” and “cross”. There are lots of different ways to be angry and if you have more precise words to use, then you have less explaining to do after you say how you are feeling.
