The Article i read this week was about single stream recycling. Single stream recyclign is when you place all of your metal cans, paper products, cardboard, glass bottles and containers, plastic bottles and tubs and other plastic items into one recycling cart, bin, can or dumpster. This makes recycling easier for both the people who collect the recycling in the recycling trucks, and of course the people who recycle. This form of recycling makes it easier for people to recycle more also. Municipalites and haulers who had no recycling or dual stream recycling collection who switch to single stream boost up thier recycling rates a lot. “Recycling only works when people take action”.
