Walden Plan #2

December13

So far I have managed to get my work done afterschool without letting my friends get in the way. I did stay with them somedays but I also went to my teachers too. Giving up my rut has caused me to miss a few things with my friends, but not too much. I do not feel bad about giving up my rut. I feel better because my grades in a few of my classes has actually gone up. My friends push me to go to class afterschool now because we are helping each other get over our ruts. The quote that symbolizes where I am is “What I must do is all that concerns me, not what people think,” (Emerson)  because even though some people would rather me hang out after school, I know I need to be in class.
