Walden Plan #2

January7

I am doing pretty well with my plan. It has been hard not listening to the radio because I listened to it everyday. I usually listen to country music because it keeps me calm and relaxed. The one this is is that I know all the words to almost every song so I begin to sing instead of do my homework. Giving up listening to music has changed my mood. I was doing homework one night and i was getting frustrated because I did not want to do it. I took a break and turned on music for a little bit to calm be down and got right back to work. I want to pursue this experiment to see if I can actually do it. To some people “it is easy in the world” to give up thing, but this is very difficult for me (Emerson Self-Reliance). Giving up the rut is good for me to try something new and to focus on my school work. I have realized that it is hard for me to work in a quiet environment. My parents have com into my room and are star struck that there is not music playing.

How about a radio station of music that does not have lyrics? Like classical music? It’s boring music but might be good background for homework?
