In the book “The perks of being a wallflower” there is a part where Charlie and his two friends, Sam and Patrick, go to a party with their group of friends. All of the friends decide to play truth or dare in this scene I see a group of people sitting on the floor in circle, speaking. It is then Charlie’s turn to choose truth or dare. He chooses dare and he is dared to kiss the prettiest girl in the room. Charlie’s girlfriend, Mary Elizabeth, is sitting next to him waiting for him to kiss her but instead he walks over to his friend Sam and kisses her. I then imagine Mary Elizabeth turning red from embarrassment and she runs into the bathroom slamming the door behind her and Charlie also turns red because he is confused. Charlie just stands alone in confusion as everyone in the room just stares at him because of the awkward situation.

Wow! Awkward is right! Why did Charlie do that? Did he forget that his girlfriend was right there? Did he think that being honest and choosing the prettiest girl (Sam) was the wisest choice? I mean – he chose Dare not Truth!
