Unwholly
I have started to read Unwholly, the sequel to Unwind. So far in Unwholly I am looking at the story through Starkeys perspective, a boy who was storked and is another AWOL Unwind. When Juvey-cops are taking Starkey from his home he has a chance to talk to his parents. The last thing he says to his parents as the juvey cops take him out the door is about his father’s affair with his mom’s friend. He couldn’t “enjoy his bitter little victory” (Shusterman) because at that moment he realizes that this secret could of been used as a bargaining chip with his dad. I have moments in my life that I realize I could of done something differently but it is also to late. Like once when i had walked home I realized that if I had taken the other way it would of been quicker, but it was already too late, I had walked far enough that it would just take longer to turn around and take the other way.
