War Heroes Voices From Iraq

January28

“On September 11, 2001, the Islamic militant organization al-Qaeda struck the United States in a devastating terrorist attack.” (1)  It was the most devastating terrorist attack in the nation’s history.  Nearly 3000 innocent people were killed that day.  The attacks were done by 19 suicidal terrorists that hijacked four commercial jetliners.  The terrorists deliberately crashed two planes into New York’s World Trade Center, leveling both 110-story towers.  Another plane slammed into the Pentagon and the final plane crashed into a field in Pennsylvania before it could reach its target.  Passengers of that plane fought the terrorists for control of the plane before it crashed into the White House.  I think this was a incredibly sad and scary day for all Americans.

Have you been to the Pentagon Memorial for the people who died in the Pentagon? I have not been but I have seen in pictures and read in articles that it is a very good memorial. There are benches and some water features I think. It is only about 15 minutes away so you should check it out.
