Red and Q have been getting closer. Though she won’t admit it to herself, except on those rare introspective moments, Red is falling in love with him. but after the death of their baby due to Red being kicked in the stomach by her mom’s boyfriend their relationship had been strained. Q found out that the baby might not have been his but Bacon’s instead. He admitted, in private, to being in love with her and was heartbroken that she lied. He was embarrassed but mostly hurt. He cut Red off completely and plans to sell the condo he bought for their family. I predict Red is going to go after him because after her big commission on the home she was selling she wasn’t happy. She said “What’s all this stuff if there’s no one to share it with,” (Dirty Red, 100). She thinks about him but not like she thought of her other men, she thought of them being together. Everyone has been noticing how depressed she seems. When she goes places she hopes to see them. Red even went to the church Q mentioned he goes sometimes.
