I read an article about Tomas Edison in my history class and I was surprised with information I found about him because all I knew about him is his inventions like Incandescent light bulb, Phonograph ,and more ,however there is more about Thomas that alot of people do not know about him. Thomas who grew up with seven brothers and sisters , and I connect this to my dad who grew up with up six brothers. Thomas Edison had a hearing problem, he was almost deaf. He also gout pulled out of school by his mom and showed an appetite for knowledge, and therefor he was able to become one of the greatest inventors. Edison was known for his love for reading and traveling, but when he came back  ,he found his mom very sick , He tried to help ,but she was too sick and died. At the age of 22 Edison moved to New York City and developed his first invention, an improved stock ticker which was a huge success and people start noticing him. Thomas Edison had acquired a reputation as a first-rate inventor and start become one of the greatest inventors ever “Genius is one percent inspiration and ninety-nine percent perspiration” Edison.
